    First Peek - Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)


    The most awaited sequel to the successful dystopian science-fiction action thriller film The Maze Runner will be finally seen on the big screen. Based on “The Scorch Trials,” the second book in The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials  will be about the new adventure and dangers that the Gladers will be facing in a new world. 


    The new film takes off where the first one ended. In this new chapter, Thomas, Teresa, Newt and the rest of the Gladers are up against their greatest enemy yet – the WCKD. Their search for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization takes them to Scorch. With unimaginable obstacles in the desolate landscape, the Gladers must team up with the resistance fighters in order to take down the superior forces behind WCKD and uncover their evil plans. 


    Dylan O’Brien comes back to reprise his role as Thomas, along with Kaya Scodelario as Teresa Agnes, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt and Ki Hong Lee as Minho. Also part of the cast are Rosa Salazar, Jacob Lofland, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Lili Taylor, Patricia Clarkson, Barry Pepper and Katherine McNamara. Directed by Wes Ball, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials will hit cinemas on September 18, 2015.
