    First Peek: Crimson Peak (2015)

From the highly-acclaimed director of “Mimic,” “Pan’s Labyrinth,” and “The Devil’s Backbone” comes another electrifying horror film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Produced by Legendary Pictures, Crimson Peak is about the worst nightmare of a new bride.

It is an instant attraction and young author Edith Cushing falls heavily on the charms of stranger Sir Thomas Sharpe. Once married, she is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay in the rural and mountainous region of northern England in the 19th century. But it is not the soil that mystifies the place; it is the secrets that fill it and that will haunt the young heroine forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak. And what she will find out will change how she sees her husband.

Mia Wasikowska stars as Edith Cushing while Tom Hiddleston as Sir Thomas Sharpe. Joining the cast are Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver. Directed by Guillermo del Toro, Crimson Peak will hit cinemas on October 16, 2015.
