    First Peek: Minions (2015)

These cute yellow creatures who talk gibberish are back on the big screen with a movie of their own. Serving as prequel or spin-off to Despicable Me (2010) and Despicable Me 2 (2013), Minions is a journey back to where Stuart, Bob and the whole gang come from. And when we say back, it is way, way back to prehistoric times….

According to the trailers released, Minions are tiny yellow beings who have existed since the beginning of time with only one purpose – to seek and serve the most despicable masters. So through all the ages, the Minions serve countless world menace such as the T.Rex, Napoleon and even Dracula, only to destroy them accidentally in the end. Frustrated, they isolate themselves to Antarctica to start life anew, but having no purpose, they become dull, depressed and unhappy. By 1968, Kevin devises a plan to find a new master. Along with teenager Stuart and kid Bob, he travels to New York and competes for the opportunity for the minions to be henchmen for Scarlet Overkill who desires to be the world’s first female supervillain.

The voices of Stuart, Kevin and Bob in Minions are provided by the director himself Pierre Coffin. Villainess Scarlet Overkill is voiced by Sandra Bullock and her husband Herb Overkill by Jon Hamm. Produced by Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures, Minion will hit cinemas by July 10, 2015.
