Bridge of Spies
is an upcoming historical drama film based on the 1960 U-2 incident. The movie
revolves around James Donovan (Tom Hanks), who was tasked with negotiating the
release of a U-2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers, who was shot down over
Russia at the height of the Cold War in exchange for the release of a Russian
spy.
Along Hanks, Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan and Alan Alda also star
in the film. Directed by award-winner Steven Spielberg, Bridge of Spies will it cinemas on October 16, 2015.
