    First Peek: Macbeth (2015)

Macbeth is a British drama film based on William Shakespeare’s widely-acclaimed and highly-compelling play The Tragedy of Macbeth. Set in war-torn 11th century Scotland, the movie is the story of a fearless warrior and leader, Macbeth (Michael Fassbender), who becomes consumed with guilt over the murder of King Duncan (David Thewlis) and being a tyrannical ruler of the country. Joining Fassbender and Thewlis in the movie are Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth, Paddy Considine as Banquo, Jack Reynor as Malcolm, and many others.

The film competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Jacob Koskoff, Macbeth will be released on October 2, 2015 in the United Kingdom and on December 4, 2015 in the United States.
