First Peek: The D Train (2015)

If you are up for some heart-warming comedy, The D Train may serve you up. What do you think will happen when an unpopular kid teams up with the coolest guy in their class reunion?

All his life, Dan Landsman has never been the cool guy. But everything is soon about to change. Proclaiming himself as chairman of his high school’s alumni committee, he makes plans for their 20th reunion and thinks of convincing Oliver Lawless, the most popular guy back in high school and who is now the face of national Banana Boat ad campaign, to show up with him. With all his resolve, Dan travels from Pittsburgh to LA to persuade his target, only to strike a bargain risking everything he has worked for – his home, career and entire life.

Jack Black will play the role of Dan Landsman, with James Marden as Oliver Lawless. Alongside them are Kathryn Hahn and Jeffrey Tambor. Directed by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, The D Train premiered at the 11th Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2015, with a theatrical release on May 8, 2015.
