It is official and Marvel Comics superhero team Fantastic Four will have another major motion adaptation. In the reboot, Fantastic Four (also written as Fant4stic) will have darker elements than the 2005 version and will dwell more on character development. The movie shall take us back to where everything has started.
In the recently-released trailer, discoveries and inventions seem to alter the course of lives of some people and of the fate of the world. With a teleport technology, four individuals are sent to an alternate universe where their physical forms are suddenly altered, giving them new superhuman abilities. Returning back to the Earth, the four must embrace their newfound gifts and harness them to protect the world from an impending “doom” caused by someone familiar to them.
In Fantastic Four, Miles Teller will play the role of Reed Richards or Mister Fantastic. Alongside him are Kate Mara as Susan Storm or Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm or Human Torch, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm or The Thing. The nemesis Victor Domashev or Doom will be played by Toby Kebbell.
Directed by Josh Trank, the new Fantastic Four will be released on August 7, 2015.
