The Big Short is
an upcoming drama based on Michael Lewis’ 2010 book of the same name which is
about the financial crisis of 2007-2010 by the build-up of the housing and
credit bubble. When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government
refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big
Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern
banking where they must question everyone and everything.
The film features an ensemble cast consisting of Brad Pitt,
Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Melissa Leo, Marisa Tomei, Karen
Gillan, Tracy Letts, Hamish Linklater and many others. Directed by Adam McKay, The Big Short hits cinemas on December
11, 2015.
