Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures team up
for their fifth fully-animated feature-film collaboration entitled The Secret Life of Pets. The comedy
film talks about the lives of our dear pets after we leave them at home for
work or school each day.
Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life
as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy
mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind, when they find out
that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned
pets determined to take revenge on all happily-owned pets and their owners.
Comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin
Hart make their animated feature-film debuts in the movie, which co-stars Ellie
Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert
Brooks. Directed by Chris Renaud, The Secret
Life of Pets will be released on July 8, 2016.
